Der Mercedes Benz G ist wohl der Gel&#228;ndewagen schlecht hin und deshalb feiert er dieses Jahr auch sein 30 j&#228;hriges Jubil&#228;um. Der Edeltuner BRABUS hat jetzt einen ganz speziellen G f&#252;r den Genfer Autosalon vorgestellt. Der Brabus G V12 S Biturbo mit unglaublichen 700 PS an Leistung! Als Grundlage diente ein V12 Twin-Turbo Motor aus der Mercedes S Klasse, dem S600, welcher standardm&#228;&#223;ig 5,5 L Hubraum hat. Diese wurden auf 6,3 L aufgebohrt und mit neuen Zylinderk&#246;pfen und neuer Kurbelwelle versehen. Dank neuer Auspuffanlage, neuem K&#252;hler und dickeren Turbo&#8217;s erzielt er so 1.320 Nm Drehmoment bei 700 PS Leistung. Dank 5 Gang Automatik und Allradantrieb erzielt er beachtliche Fahrleistungen! So ist der Spurt von 0-100 km/h in 4,3 Sekunden! Leider wurde der Topspeed auf 240 km/h begrenzt, ohne diese w&#252;rde er eine H&#246;chstgeschwindigkeit von 260 km/h erzielen. Wenn man bedenkt das man mit einem Klotz durch die Gegend f&#228;hrt, ist das dennoch beachtlich! Nat&#252;rlich gibt es zus&#228;tzlich neue Felgen, ein neues Fahrwerk, verschiedenste LED&#8217;s an diversen Stellen und neue Bremsen. <p>BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo: The world&#8217;s most powerful off-roader comes from BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com). It is built by hand based on the latest Mercedes G-Class. The exclusive five-door is powered by a BRABUS SV12 S displacement engine. Like all special models of BRABUS &#8211; recognized by the German Vehicle Registration Agency as a vehicle manufacturer &#8211; the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo comes with a comprehensive luxury package. The ultra-powerful 4&#215;4 starts at 379,000 Euros.</p>
<p>The BRABUS SV12 S engine is based on the V12 Biturbo engine from the latest Mercedes S 600. Before being implanted in the engine bay of the G-Class, displacement of the three-valve engine is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 384 cubic inches) using a special crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinders and larger bore. In addition, the cylinder heads are re-machined and fitted with special camshafts.</p>
<p>The engine peripherals were upgraded with larger turbochargers, an optimized intercooling system and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts. The exahust was custom-developed for the G-Class and features dual chrome-plated tailpipes that exit in front of the rear wheels on the left and right side. New precision mapping for the engine electronics coordinate the perfect interaction of all new components. The results are an exemplary smooth-running engine and maximum power yield while meeting the strict limits set by the EURO IV emission norm.</p>
<p>In the G-Class the BRABUS S V12 S displacement engine produces 700 hp (690 bhp) / 515 kW at 5,100 rpm. The turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine delivers its peak torque of 1,320 Nm (973 lb-ft) at 2,100 rpm. In the car, the peak torque is electronically limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).</p>
<p>The BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo offers acceleration performance almost unimaginable for a true off-roader: Combined with a special five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive the exclusive SUV catapults itself from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 240 km/h (150 mph). Without the self-imposed limit the high-tech G-Class model could reach 260 km/h (163 mph).</p>
<p>This superior performance necessitates the use of custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock wheels. Below the subtle fender flares is room for Monoblock light-alloy wheels with diameters between 20 and 22 inches, mounted with high-performance tires from Pirelli or YOKOHAMA. The forged BRABUS Monoblock VI 10.5Jx21 light-alloys are shod with size 295/40 R 21 tires front and back. BRABUS offers a wide selection of ten-inch wide wheels in the five different Monoblock VI, E, G, Q and S designs with a diameter of 22 inches.</p>
<p>For optimal handling BRABUS equips the special model G V12 S Biturbo with a comfortable custom suspension. To keep the incredible performance safely in check at all times the BRABUS high-performance brake system comes standard.</p>
<p>The body of the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo is distinguished by sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement components. The BRABUS front apron with its LED daytime running lights below the main headlights lends the 4&#215;4 an even more striking face. The rear is customized with the BRABUS rear bumper.</p>
<p>The BRABUS designers have developed special caps for the standard running boards of the Mercedes G-Class. They add some visual pizzazz to the G-Class and for added practicality feature integrated LED lights activated by the key fob or by opening a door. They illuminate the running boards in the dark.</p>
<p>The custom interior of the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo is highly exclusive as well: It includes an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, a speedometer with 280-km/h scale (175 mph), stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo and a handcrafted BRABUS fully leather interior made from especially soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather.</p>
<p>Upon customer request BRABUS transforms the SUV into fully functional all-terrain office on wheels or can integrate a custom-tailored high-tech multimedia system with state-of-the-art communication technology, DVD changer, DVBT TV tuner, game console and eight-inch LCD screens in the back of the front headrests. The sound in the rear compartment is reproduced by infrared headphones.</p>

Der globalen Krise und Umweltproblemen zum Trotz, hat GeigerCars aus dem sch&#246;nen M&#252;nchen, bereits im Dezember 2008, diesen Geiger Hummer H3 Alpha im Martini Racing Look, vorgestellt. Der &#8220;kleine&#8221; H3 mit seinen 2,1t und seinen standardm&#228;&#223;igen 239 PS bei 327 Nm, wurde von GeigerCars mit einem 5,3L V8 der 300 PS bei 434 Nm leistet ausgestattet. 300 PS waren GeigerCars jedoch noch zu wenig und man verpasste ihm noch ein Kompressorkit. Nun leistet er stolze 423 PS bei 680 Nm Drehmoment. Damit l&#228;sst sich der H3 in nur 7 Sekunden auf Tempo 100 bef&#246;rdern und erreicht ein Topspeed von 238 km/h. Um den H3 zu bremsen, verbaut Geiger ein Set aus 380x35mm Scheibenbremsen. Zusammen mit einem Fahrwerksupgrade und 22 Zoll Felgen mit seinen 305er Continental Reifen, wurde auch an das Fahrverhalten bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten gedacht. Mehr Fotos gibts nach dem Klick.<br />

Volkswagen hat bereits im September dieses Jahres ihr Concept f&#252;r einen neuen Pickup vorgestellt. Dort wurde es bei der IAA in Hannover erstmals der &#214;ffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Ein viert&#252;riger Pickup, speziell design&#8217;t f&#252;r Rettungskr&#228;fte alla Baywatch, in zusammenarbeit mit Ersthelfern und Einsatzkr&#228;ften. Den Pickup w&#252;rd es als Diesel, aber auch als Benziner geben und er wird bereits Anfang 2009 im argentinischen Pacheco, mit 100000 Einheiten pro Jahr, in Serie gehen. Angeboten wird der Pickup dann in S&#252;damerika, S&#252;dafrika, Australien und nat&#252;rlich Europa. Nat&#252;rlich wird, der aus VW bekannte Allradantrieb, 4MOTION auch bei diesem Pickup zum Einsatz kommen. Video und weiter Fotos gibts wie immer nach dem Klick.<br />

Bereits am Freitag, hat Porsche es nun offiziell gemacht und den Porsche Cayenne, als Diesel der &#214;ffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Neue europ&#228;ische Richtlinien f&#252;r Dieselfahrzeuge haben Porsche zu diesem Schritt mehr oder weniger gezwungen. Dabei setzt Porsche den 3.0L TDI V6 von Audi ein, welcher 240 PS leistet und hat 550 Newtonmeter Drehmoment. In 9 Sekunden sollen 100 km/h erreicht werden und bei 200km/h ist Schluss, f&#252;r einen Porsche ist das nicht gerade viel. Ziel war jedoch ein Sprit- und Emmissionssparendes Fahrzeug zu bauen und mit 9,3L Verbrauch ist der neue Cayenne Diesel wohl der Spritsparenste Porsche, welcher je gebaut wurde. Der Basispreis f&#252;r den Porsche liegt bei 56.000 Euro.<br />

<p>Premiere at Porsche: Cayenne with diesel engine</p>
<p>Stuttgart. The Executive Board at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has given the go-ahead: from February 2009, the sports car manufacturer will offer a Cayenne with a diesel engine and thus extend its range of drives for the sporty all-terrain vehicle further, once again. This decision was taken in response to changed legal regulations especially in European markets, resulting in tax incentives for vehicles with diesel engines. Furthermore, Porsche&#8217;s stake in the Volkswagen Group, the world&#8217;s largest manufacturer of modern diesel engines for passenger cars, has opened up new opportunities to utilise diesel technology.</p>
<p>Porsche will equip the Cayenne with a three-litre V6 turbo diesel engine with 240 hp (176 kW) supplied by Audi AG, a subsidiary of the VW Group. The average consumption of the Cayenne Diesel is 9.3 litres per 100 kilometres, with CO2 at 244 grams per kilometre. The spontaneous throttle response and the high torque characteristics of this diesel engine deliver the required performance levels for a sporty all-terrain vehicle such as the Cayenne. The substantial torque of a maximum of 550 Newton metres complements the sporty chassis dynamics and provides a high degree of control to offer driving enjoyment that is typical of Porsche.</p>
<p>In response to customer demand, the new Cayenne model will initially be offered in Europe. Preparations for market introduction in other countries are underway.</p>
<p>The Porsche Executive Board is confident that it will maintain the long term market success of the Cayenne series in the long term with the low-consumption V6 turbo diesel. In the last financial year 2007/08, 45,478 units of this series (which currently incorporates five different models) were sold &#8211; more than ever before in a financial year.</p>
<p>With the introduction of the Cayenne Diesel, Porsche is consistently continuing its commitment to reduce fuel consumption. As early as Spring 2007, the sports car manufacturer had equipped the new generation of the Cayenne series with engines with petrol direct injection that consume up to 15 percent less fuel in real-world driving conditions. Since the summer of 2008, Porsche has also offered the most recent generation of the 911 series with direct-injection petrol engines. The sports car manufacturer is also working on another Cayenne variant with hybrid drive that will consume less than nine litres of fuel per 100 kilometres and will be launched onto the market at the end of the decade.</p>
<p>The new Cayenne with diesel drive will be available from dealers from February 2009 onwards. Equipped with the proven Tiptronic-S automatic gearbox as standard, the Euro base price will be EUR 47,250. In Germany, the Cayenne with diesel engine including 19 percent VAT and country-specific equipment costs EUR 56,436.</p>

<p>Form and function combined &#8211; It shouldn&#8217;t come as a surprise that the Porsche Cayenne is highly popular. edo competition Motorsport is now offering more power for the Porsche Cayenne GTS and an aerodynamics package that transforms this SUV into a true powerhouse with the alluring character of a sports car.</p>
<p>The Porsche Cayenne GTS provides the basis for the edo GTS. The figures send a clear message: The engine generates 450 horsepower (331 kW) and a maximum torque of 530 Nm (391 ft-lb) at 3,800 rpm. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes a scant 6.4 seconds and the top speed is an unbelievable 270 km/h (168 mph). This impressive performance is achieved thanks to new high-flow catalytic converters, performance air filter inserts and a new ECU calibration optimized on the dyno.</p>
<p>The edo GTS is also equipped with a new brake system. Huge six-piston fixed mono-block calipers clamp down on thicker and larger diameter brake rotors as well as upsized pads in the front. Rotor dimensions: 380 x 38 mm (15 x 1.5 inches).</p>
<p>For a matching appearance edo competition offers a sport suspension system adjustable in height, compression and rebound damping. The height adjustment range is T�V approved. There are 14 settings for compression damping while the rebound damping is continuously variable. The front and rear body height is set individually according to the customer&#8217;s wishes. Finishing off the look is a new hood featuring power domes and a new lower front skirt with 4 fog lights and mesh inserts.</p>
<p>Ideal road contact is provided by new 22 inch forged wheels with stainless steel outer rims: 10 x 22 inch with 295/30 ZR22 tires up front and 11 x 22 inch with 295/30 ZR22 in the rear. Custom-painted wheel centers are an option.</p>
<p>As with all edo competition models, we set no limit to our customers&#8217; imaginations when it comes to the interior. Color-coded instrument dials, aluminium pedal sets or lavish leather upholstery, individual requests are accommodated and executed with quality.</p>
